Wanhua announced that from February 28, 2025, the price of PMDI in Southeast Asia will increase by $100 per ton, following a $200 increase in January. This indicates Wanhua’s confidence in the growing demand for polyurethane in this region, especially in Vietnam, Thailand, and Indonesia. Southeast Asia is benefiting from the restructuring of global supply chains due to rising transportation and production costs, as well as changes in international trade patterns, such as the U.S. imposing tariffs on China, Mexico, and Canada. Vietnam, with its strong economic growth and infrastructure development, has become a significant consumer market for PU materials, particularly in the home appliance and automotive industries. Thailand, as the largest automobile producer in ASEAN, has attracted substantial investment from Chinese automakers, further driving the consumption growth of polyurethane materials.
As the supplier of silicone surfactant which is applicated in PU foam as the foam stabilizer TOPWIN has deplored Southeast market already and make a positive progress.
